Bob Franklin – Board Chairman
Bob Franklin – Bob is married to the former Bunny Bokony and has three children, Mandy, Jessica and Michael. He has been a member of the Arkansas Fire Service for 50 years. Beginning his sterling career in 1970 as a volunteer and retiring from the Little Rock Fire Department with 28 years of service with the rank of Captain. He and his wife formed the Northeast Saline County Fire District in 1984 where Bob was Fire Chief for 23 years retiring from it in 2007.
Bob was the youngest firefighter to achieve Certified Fire Instructor and became the first fire instructor from the State of Arkansas to teach at the prestigious Fire Department Instructor Conference at Indianapolis Indiana, where for eight years he taught his “Let’s Talk Pumps” class to hundreds of firefighters from around the world.
Bob owned the oldest fire pump repair company in the state, fire apparatus repair company and was a service for waters and American Fire pumps. He is an avid historian of the fire service as well as his collection of fire memorabilia dates back to the early 1800s along with his fire apparatus collection.
