Larry Brewer – Board Vice Chairman
Larry J. Brewer – He started with the Conway Fire Department on October 14, 1971 as a volunteer and went full paid on February 1, 1974 to then retire by October 19, 2001.
On October 22, 2001, Larry became the Fire Coordinator for Faulkner County until September 2014 when he was over 22 Fire Departments. In April of 1994, he then joined the Pine Village Volunteer Fire Department and was Chief of the department from February 2004 until April 2014.
In October 2007, he was appointed by the Governor of Arkansas at the time to be on the on the Arkansa Fire Protection Service Board in which I am still a member of today in 2021. Larry is the Arkansas State coordinator for LODD through the National Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
From 2015 through 2019, Larry has attended the National Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial Services as an Honor Guard and Family Usher in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The last five years has put on a bell service for a career, retired and volunteer firefighter funerals across the state of Arkansas. Larry has a total of 49 years of dedication to the Fire Service.
